Container Load
Enter the carton's external dimensions, and leave the gross weight blank if you do not want a payload limit applied. Only fill in the max stacking layers for cargo that cannot take load (fragile, liquid, weak cartons). The utilisation rate is used solely for the mixed-load estimate column.

“No-mixing” means each specification fills whole containers on its own — geometrically guaranteed, so it can be booked directly. “Mixed-load estimate” spreads the whole consignment’s volume and weight across containers, applies the utilisation rate and takes the tighter side. The real count falls between the two: the finer the mixing, the fewer containers, but carton mix, stacking and port-of-discharge order set a floor.

Calculation detail
Internal dimensions, door clearance and maximum payload are common industry reference values; the real figures vary with tare weight, carrier and destination road limits (some landlocked countries cap the 40GP below 24 t). Always go by the container certificate and your booking confirmation.
