Three things to know about world holidays
- The date may be an observed day, not the festival itself
- The table records the day the source treats as non-working. US Independence Day 2026 falls on Saturday 4 July, and the source records Friday 3 July as the substitute — 4 July is not in the data at all. Use it to answer "is this a working day", not "when is the festival".
- "Regional" does not mean the whole country closes
- Rows marked regional apply only in part of the country. Germany's Epiphany is a holiday in three states, and International Women's Day only in Berlin. Treating them as national wastes a day; ignoring them can book a delivery into a closed city — confirm with your local agent for the specific city.
- China's make-up working days are not included
- China publishes its annual holiday and make-up-day arrangement separately from the festival dates themselves (Spring Festival runs as a multi-day break with adjusted weekends). This table shows festival dates only. Only public and bank holidays are included — no industry, local or religious observances.
